Bringing Lemonade Day to Washington DC

My name is Radeen Kabir, a 2nd year MBA student at Rice University. As a current summer intern for non-profit Prepared 4 Life, I am working to bring Lemonade Day (www.lemonadeday.org) to Washington DC. Lemonade Day is a community-wide educational program that helps kids develop entrepreneurship and life skills necessary to prepare for a constantly changing economy. This is also an opportunity for children to give back to their community as well as decide whether to keep all of their earnings or give a portion to a charity.
The Lemonade Day program comes at no cost to kids. Participants will also have a month to prepare for the May 2nd, 2010 event under the care of an adult, leading to the comprehensive training of our future business leaders.
Prepared 4 Life and I are looking for assistance in any form to make this great opportunity a success. Please feel free to reach out to me at radeen@lemonadeday.org and let’s build the American dream one lemonade stand at a time.
