Lemonade Lucy (back row, third from left) and friends celebrate Lemonade Day at Houston's Project Row Houses
I have been involved with Lemonade Day since its inception with a goal to ensure Lemonade Day for every child in the African American community.
After the very first year, I quickly learned that Lemonade Day was for everyone, and I began building awareness about Lemonade Day everywhere in the greater Houston community.
As a result, I affectionately became known as “Lemonade Lucy.” I continue to be involved in this wonderful program because I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that it has made on community engagement and parental involvement.
Long Live Lemonade Day!
