Stay-at-Home Orders Won’t Stop Lemonade Day Kids From Being Resourceful. “Lemonade Day My Way” Provides Ideas For Kids to Participate in a Summertime Rite of Passage!

BY STEVEN GORDON, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL PRESIDENT

Last week I announced our organization’s plan to allow kids to still “host” a lemonade stand, put our Lemonopolis lessons into action, run their business, and have some fun with friends, family and their neighbors.

While our 2020 Lemonade Day Season looks a little different because of the coronavirus, we believe every child still can participate in Lemonade Day. My national team has been hard at work developing promotional materials to demonstrate that challenges can produce opportunities for innovation, change and growth.  Lemonade Day My Way helps kids host a real lemonade stand or a virtual lemonade stand while maintaining social distancing and other health and safety guidelines. Kids are encouraged to “save some, spend some, and share some” of the profits with a cause that matters to them.
