Back to School, Back to Lemonade Day Business!

BY STEVEN GORDON, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL PRESIDENT

Beaumont Lemonade Day

Summer vacation is officially coming to an end, with most kids in North America returning to classrooms this week or right after the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Now is the perfect time to think about Lemonade Day plans for 2020.  Our national Lemonade Day leaders and City Directors are ramping up for an exciting new year, with many new programs starting in the Pacific Northwest.

We will host our City Directors for a national conference in Houston in late September during which time we will  share exciting 2019 success stories as well as explore new ideas and opportunities for 2020. We are recruiting more kids, more mentors, more volunteers, and more City Champions now and throughout early Spring. We are planning for Lemonade Day 2020 to be a super special year!

Our relationship with Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers continues to grow, and we are developing proposals for engaging many other “household names” to help us bring the Lemonade Day experience to even more kids in 2020.

I am asking for your help as well in sharing our “Lemonade Day Love” with everyone you know.  Kids who participate in our Lemonade Day programs are more likely to start businesses in the future. We know that for sure, thanks to a study we conducted with Gallup in 2017.  Lemonade Day matters! Lemonade Day works!

To wrap up, I would like to wish  you and  your family a safe and enjoyable Labor Day holiday weekend. And, as always, I welcome  your comments, questions and recommendations. Please email me any time at Steven@LemonadeDay.org.
