Welcome Nicole Cassier-Mason, New Lemonade Day National CEO! Congratulations to Joe Daly, Gallup Senior Partner, Incoming Lemonade Day National Chairman of the Board

GUEST BLOGGER: CHARLIE HAMILTON, CURRENT CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Nicole Cassier-Mason and Joe Daly

To all the Lemonade City Directors, our Sponsors and Donors, and All Other Supporters and Followers of Lemonade Day,

I am writing to share exciting news about important upcoming changes within the organization. On behalf of the Lemonade Day National Board of Directors and Houston-based staff, I am thrilled to welcome Nicole Cassier-Mason as the new CEO of Lemonade Day National. Her first day at the helm was Monday, June 7!

Nicole comes to Lemonade Day National after nearly 12 years at New Hope Housing, Inc. as vice president, fund development & communications. New Hope Housing provides life-stabilizing, affordable, permanent housing with support services for Houston’s most vulnerable citizens who live on very limited incomes. As an officer of the organization, she oversaw public/private fundraising activities, envisioned and implemented communication and brand awareness campaigns, and devised innovative outreach and stewardship strategies. Nicole previously served as the Development Director at The Heritage Society in Houston, and as an Event Coordinator at Houston Mayor’s Office of Special Events.

As a native Houstonian, Nicole received her bachelor’s degree with a double major in History and Religious Studies from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, where she played soccer and ran track. She also has her certification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

The entire team at Lemonade Day National is extremely excited. We are confident Nicole’s leadership, knowledge, and energetic spirit will help lead Lemonade Day into the future. Together, we will power forward – preparing youth for life through fun, proactive and experiential programs – equipping them to become leaders and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow. During the coming weeks, we look forward to introducing Nicole to the Lemonade Day community.

I want to take this opportunity to also announce that I will be stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Lemonade Day National. This will be effective at the end of June. After five years as Chairman and 10 years of involvement in Lemonade Day, when my wife and I brought Lemonade Day to Lubbock, TX as City Directors, I will be passing the baton to board member, Joe Daly, Senior Partner with Gallup.

Joe has served on the Board since 2016. As Senior Partner at Gallup, Joe provides advisory services on entrepreneurship to governments and businesses worldwide, supporting them with research and data on the drivers of employment, job creation and business start-ups at the global, national, regional and local levels. With areas of expertise including change management, process improvement, project management and strategy, Joe has been most recently serving on the Board’s launch committee for the My Lemonade Day app. Joe is a tremendous asset to Lemonade Day through his work studying the talents that distinguish successful entrepreneurs, and he has been instrumental to our Board as the liaison between Lemonade Day and Gallup, lending his knowledge to help our organization develop its Youth Impact Study. I am pleased he accepted the role as Chairman of the Board, together with Nicole, to lead Lemonade Day to our best days ahead.

I have treasured these past years serving Lemonade Day National and watching it grow into an organization making a profound difference in countless lives. I have spent many moments reflecting on the incredible work this wonderful organization and amazing team have done since 2007. Though I will no longer be Chairman, I plan to remain on the Board and be actively engaged, underlining my commitment to Lemonade Day’s mission. The many friendships and memories made will always be a part of me. I know I leave you in very capable and enthusiastic hands.

With much gratitude,

Charlie Hamilton
